I live and work in Ann Arbor, Michigan with my wife, Maria, my daughter, Naomi, and my son, Nick.
Professionally, I work at the University of Michigan Library as the Associate University Librarian for Library Information Technology (LIT) and for Technical and Access Services (TAS) at the University of Michigan Library. I also served as the Co-Interim University Librarian in 2006/2007. Prior to that, I served as the Head of the Digital Library Production Service at the University of Michigan (from the inception of the unit in 1996).
A typical out-of-date resume is online here. I earned graduate degrees in English from the University of Virginia ('80) and Library Science from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville ('86), and a BA from Antioch College in '79.
